We aren't starting from zero - we stand on the shoulders of giants.
The MiniLinks prototype is operational across two single board computers, between three and five laptops, several desktop computers, one rack-mount blade server, one VR headset, and at least one mobile phone.
Available capabilities include:
- authentication
- cryptographically verifiable revision control backend
- distributed automatic builds
- microsite & document publishing API
Not all capabilities are fully integrated, and not all integrations are available on any given build. Manual configuration required.
### Year One
The first year of funding provides five engineers with the foundation and framework to package and polish the MiniLinks model currently running in the lab into a redistributable alpha release.
Our founding engineer, Tessa, will focus on building out the distributed development pipeline for minimal configuration cross-platform usage. Our documentation lead, Woozle, will focus on bringing the instructions for use into alignment with capabilities being shipped. Our CEO and QA director Joe will focus on breaking things and telling us about it. Our QA analyst Brid will take whatever is broken and research systemic fixes. Our fifth hire will focus on use case development and workflow integrations. Everyone will contribute to the core code on some level.
Ideal outcomes include at least one long term support contract, one on-premise deployment, and one educational / nonprofit development partner.
### Year Two
Second year has us focusing on a beta release for MiniLinks and beginning to pitch seed funding for specific applications built atop the capabilities provided by the core tooling.
Creation of a community portal for bounties and other success sharing will facilitate testing of the beta.
### Year Three
Year three marks our full release goal. Mostly transitioned to compatibility maintenence mode as dependency projects begin to grow.Have something to say?
